Marine Sightseeing, Whale Watching & Wildlife Viewing

Prince of Whales Whale Watching is locally owned and operated, and one of the longest running whale watching companies in Victoria. Prince of Whales offers tours year round, with hourly departures during the summer months. Our guests have the choice of three hour tours on either a Zodiac or a covered vessel (Ocean Magic), or they can book on to our excursions that watch whales en route to either The Butchart Gardens or Vancouver. All of our tours are guided by experienced and knowledgeable crew that provide interesting commentary on the wildlife encountered along the way.
Summer time tends to be the best time of year for seeing whales; particularly the Killer Whales, however several species of cetacean can be found in the waters of lower Vancouver Island year round. In addition to other wildlife, our tours also include fantastic views of the historical Victoria coastline which might include a visit to famous landmarks like Race Rocks lighthouse, the abandoned Leper Colony on Darcy Island or the old liquor cache of Rum Island. You truly haven’t seen Victoria or the Gulf Islands until you have seen it from the water!
